By granting the "Device Owner" commonly known as the "Device Admin" role to Spawnpoint on your headsets, you can benefit from a number of fantastic features including:
- Wireless Game and Spawnpoint Updates, no more tangling yourself in USB cables when you need to update your games
- Headset On-Head Detection, to quickly see which headsets are currently being worn in the Play Tab
Enabling Admin Features during enrollment of an LBE-ready Headset
On VIVE Focus and Pico headset, this is a very simple process: just turn the Admin switch on (it's enabled by default) when adding a headset to your arena. If you already have an app such as an MDM in the Device Owner slot, you will need to remove the device owner role from that app first - how you do this will depend on the app in question.
Enabling Admin Features to an already-enrolled LBE-ready Headset
If you've already added your VIVE Focus or Pico headset to Spawnpoint, you can enable device admin using the following process:
- Plug the headset into your PC
- Go to the Devices Tab
- Click the Cog on the headset you just plugged in
- Go to the Spawnpoint tab in the Device Management Window
- Click Grant Device Admin
- After a few moments, your headset will disconnect and reconnect to Spawnpoint and Spawnpoint's background management app should now have been granted admin privileges on the headset
You can also remove Device Admin from Spawnpoint on a headset by following the same instructions. If you have already granted Spawnpoint device admin then there will also be a Revoke Device Admin button you can click.
Enabling Admin Features on Meta Quest Headsets
Unfortunately, Device Admin is no longer available on Meta Quest headsets due to restrictions Meta have introduced in newer OS versions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, this is sadly out of our hands.
