This section of documentation goes over how to set up an LBE tracking map on your Pico headset and prepare it for sharing to the rest of your arena.
Please note that LBE tracking maps are not available on non-Enterprise Pico headsets such as the Pico 4 without the Enterprise naming.
If you are using a Pico headset with OS 4.x, we recommend updating your Pico Neo 3 Pro to the 5.x OS for a better experience.
Creating your Tracking Map
- Go to the Tracking Tab in your Spawnpoint Operator Panel
- Click the Create New Map button in the top right-hand corner of the page
- If you have enabled our Roomscale addon you will be offered the option of Roomscale or Arenascale here. If so, select the appropriate option for the type of map you would like to create - Arenascale for a shared map, and Roomscale for a single device map - If not, skip to Step 4.
- When asked whether you would like to Create a new map or Copy an existing map, select Create
- Select the headset you would like to use for the creation process and click Next
- Put the headset on and follow the instructions to map your environment. Be sure to set your forward direction to be facing the short side of your play space for maximum game compatibility, refer to the below illustration for more information.
- Once you have completed the mapping process in the headset, return to Spawnpoint and you will be able to name the map and copy it to Spawnpoint for deployment to all of your headsets
Copying an Existing Tracking Map
To copy an existing tracking map from a headset you can follow the same process in the Devices Tab by clicking Create New Map but select Copy Map from Device instead of Create. This will let you select a headset, name the map and copy it from the headset to Spawnpoint for deployment to your arena.
Re-applying your Tracking Map to a Single Headset
There may be times when you need to re-apply your map to a single headsets - such as after resetting the headset or to troubleshoot a tracking issue. Locate the headset at the bottom of the Tracking Tab and click the rotating arrow, this will re-apply the map to just that headset and ensure it's fully up to date.
